This is not a question but something I discovered. For two months I was
hearing mechanical, scratchy, hammer on a garbage can sound from my Bose
Companion 5 USB speakers. I called all sorts of tech support and got no
where. Well it turns out the cause was my xbox 360 wireless reciever for
windows.

It does something to the speakers that makes them just not work right.
I unplugged it, reboot the computer and like magic the sound in my speakers
were fixed.

So I hope this helps anyone with my problem.
