Hi,

On my desk window my lower toolbar is no longer accesable. The on with the
clock, network e.d. in. Also the quick launch icons the minimized windows are
no longer clickable. If I click on it I recieve the error sound. Only the
windows main icon works on the lower left side.

It is very irritating to need to open a window that is minimized via the
taskmanager to activate the window. What's wrong with my toolbar and how can
I restore it?

Help us narrow down the troubleshooting:

The First Question Of Troubleshooting: If the problem is new, what changed
between the time things worked and the time they didn't?

The Second Question of Windows Troubleshooting: what is the malware/virus
status of the machine? If you think it is clean, what programs (and
versions) did you use to determine this?

Be sure the computer is clean:

If the computer is virus/malware-free and you can't figure out the answer to
The First Question AND this is a sudden change, try a System Restore to
when things worked. CAUTION: If the computer is infected or this has been
going on for a long time, DO NOT do the System Restore.

Thanks for the interrest in my problem.

I did a check on malware and spyware. did a complete virus check. All is
clean.
I use bullgard as virus protector and firewall. Spybot search and destroy
for spyware in conbination with system mechanics to keep my system at its
maximum.

I think maybe a update from microsoft caused that problem but I am not sure
and not sure with one because my pc is been on for more that 10 days so
difficult to say. No new programs that I added so I have no idea where to
look for.

System Mechanics?
http://www.iolo.com/system-mechanic/standard/

Probably the cause of you problems (98% chance)
System "cleaners" are all snake-oil, if you are lucky they do no damage,
but they *may* harm your Windows.

- Registry Cleaners and System Tweaking Tools

- Should I use a Registry Cleaner

Not solved "by himself". Actually, Vista has some failure detection,
coupled with instant recovery techniques, built in, and luckily for you,
this was a case where those built-in tools could solve the problem.

I have experienced both successes and failures of this facet of Vista. I
like the successes better :-)
