Briecase or Sync?

Hi

I run Vista Home Premium on my laptop and my desktop. I have them connected
in a little home network. What I would like to do is to be able to use sync
or briefcase to synchronize my whole user folder with subfolders Documents,
Pictures, Music etc between to two computers. So when I for example download
new pictures to the desktop, they will be copied over to the laptop next
time I log on to my home network. How to do this?

Thankful for any help I can get.

Roger

you have a home edition and are asking for a business/enterprise
feature.Blame MS for that ignorance.

Not possible until you upgrade to Ultimate. ( Home Basic/Premium cannot be
upgraded to Business )

Cheers

Sure that's easy. Just right click on your Documents folder on your
laptop and chose location and move it to your desktop location. Chose
available off-line and it will sync when ever you long onto your network.

Hi Frank. Do you know if Vista will do that on a 2003/2000 mixed mode
AD? I thought there was a setting you had to change on the server side
too for that to work.

Thank you Frank

I'm going to try it soon.
I'm a little bit scared tough, because we are talking about thousands of
files.

I let you know how it work for me.

Just be sure to move the laptop folder to exactly the same folder on
your desktop.
Also be aware that Vista will create another folder on your laptop named
"my documents" which will become the folder to use after the move.
