Broadcasting TV signal instead of Webcam--Help!!!

When I send my webcam to others, instead of me, they see a broadcast tv image
probably originating in my media center, which is hooked to my TV cable. I
have gone into the Tools: audio/video tuning wizard. I've selected my
webcam, and my webcam shows correctly on the test screen. But in spite of
these settings, when I go to Tools:Webcam Settings, the sample screen shows
this unwanted TV broadcast, and that is why my webcam recipients see. So I
have the wizard set correctly, but Messenger is still broadcasting TV.

I have uninstalled Live Messenger, and just tried it with prior Messenger
versions, same problem persists. Advice needed.

Greetings,

First step is to try and force the webcam to make sure it'll work in Messenger. To do so,
click Start, then Run, type "devmgmt.msc" and click OK. Next, find the TV card, right-click
and choose Disable.

Now go back into the Messenger Audio and Video setup, choose the webcam and bring up the
Webcam Settings and see what you get.

If you get nothing, then the webcam driver may need to be updated.
