Broadcom - Networking - Broadcom 802.11a/b/g WLAN

i am using an Hp pavillion running windows vista home premium ... everything
worked fine for months on end , until recentely , during a windows update ,
one of the items "Broadcom - Networking - Broadcom 802.11a/b/g WLAN" failed
to update itself...
ever since , my wireless drive has gonne missing... i have tried downloading
it directly from HP's site , but it still doesn't solve the problem... i
can't locate the update from windows that failed to instal itself either...
any ideas ?

Hi there,

Taking non MS drivers from windows update is not recommanded.

Drivers should be obtained at the manufacturer website if needed.

Updating drivers is only done when it needs to be fixed or applications
demand an updated driver. If it ain't broke do not try to "fix" it.

Try booting last known good configuration , rolling back on the driver or
use system restore or restore from the system backup you hopefully made
before taking the driver.
