after this, windows mail broke completely.

how do i regenerate this special folder?, i don't care about restoring the
contacts themselves.

Hello Guillermo

If your lucky the folder may still be in the Recycle Bin, and you ca
just restore it

If not then restarting the computer a couple of time should restore th
folder for you by default. If not, then you can use the tutotial belo
to restore it

Hope this helps

Shawn,
no, it's not on recyle, the folder isn't restored after restarts and the
tutorial didn't work. The folder is not "moved" or in other location, it
just vanished and it doesn't recreate or work at all :S

any other ideas?

What happens when you type "shell:Contacts" (no quotes) in the Start
Menu search box line, or in the RUN window, and press Enter? It's
suppose to open the default Contacts folder if available.

Also try opening a elevated (run as admministrator) command prompt, and
typing "attrib +r -h %USERPROFILE%\Contacts" (no quotes) to unhide the
folder in case it was hidden by mistake as well.
