Wondering if the Common File Dialog is shown off the screen. The registry key which holds the dialog placement is mentioned in this link:

I have no reg entries inside that last comdlg32 branch. it is just (default)

No luck in safe mode either. Perhaps the missing reg entries is the problem. Is there any way to rebuild the entries that should be inside comdlg32? I'm not very experienced with adding registry entries. How would i best go about applying that registry fix? Ok, i just downloaded the file and merged it. I restarted, but the problem
