Hi,
I have Windows Vista Home Premium Edition on my laptop.
When I browse, using Internet Explorer, the pane successively becomes
smaller. Every time I click, the lower border moves upwards a bit and after a
while only a narrow stripe remains. Very annoying!
Why does this happen?
What can I do to get rid of this annoying behaviour?

I never heard of this before but, maybe you can try disabling your jav
script

I am not overly familiar with IE, but have you looked at the checkboxes
under Browsing at Tools -> internet options -> Advanced?

In Firefox, there are also checkboxes associated with Javascript in
Options -> Content -> Enable Javascript -> Advanced
