Which OS are you running as they work slightly differently.
In general though, when you are composing your email, click on the attach
button at the top and the familiar drives window should pop-up. Just browse
to where you have your pictures stored (normally you click on "My documents"
in your choices on the left then go into My Pictures in the right pane). You
can attach by double clicking on the photo or selecting it and click the
open button.
That's all there is to it.
Now there are restrictions on the size and file type that you can send via
email. Virtually all photo formats are supported (gif, jpg, png etc) and the
size of an email is restricted to 10Mb (It's been a while since I've checked
the allowed size of emails so this figure may have increased).
Hope this helps

Thx Colin - this a new puter running win 7. In past I have always used
outlook from office. Never have had any issues with attachments etc but now
when browsing for attachments from mail - even when trying to compose
signatures- as I browse Libraries for Pics OR documents - "no match for
search"??
Is this an issue with Set-up?
I am pretty familiar with XP and Vista etc but have never encountered this
problem. Any further help and again my thanks.

Where did you store the pictures/files you intend to attach to an email ?

The default picture location in Windows 7 iirc is C:\Users\<your windows username>\Pictures

Sigs are in html format. You can't just browse to an image and it'll be part
of your signature.
If you want an image as part of your signature then you have to create some
HTML. There are a lot of tools out there to do this for you (Visual Studio
Express web edition being one that is free -
http://www.microsoft.com/express/).
Make sure you save your signature as .htm or .html then you can browse to
that file as you've been trying to do.
What WL Mail does is simply append your html segment to the end of the email
that you're sending.
