hi,

I am having trouble fixing a BSoD problem i keep getting on my
laptop. The problem arises when I have put the laptop on standby and try
to wake it again. I get the following error code:

0x0000007e (0x000001D, 0x8FFA4F76, 0x969CD51C, 0x969CD218)

I have tried searching the internet for a solution on the 7e error
code, and I keep finding that the solution is the KB929777 is to be
installed, but it says it's not relevant for my computer when trying. I
have the SP1 installed through the windows update, so I am kinda running
out of ideas.

Anyone have any solutions to this problem?

Thanks in advance.

You mean the problem where bozos from Vista Forums ask questions like
yours that expect everyone to remember the details you are referring
to?

It seems to be an incurable problem.

If you use Hibernate instead, does that work better?

I believe this:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms795746.aspx
is more relevant than the KB article you referenced.

Cheers, thanks for the answer.

The article you refer to are proberly more relevant, I am however not
keen on trying to debug it myself.

For some reason the problem has stopped by itself again. I might try
and change some drivers lniked to memory, as it could be a problem with
the computer saving to memory when going in to standby.
