BT Voyager 2091 Wireless Network

I have just installed a Bt Voyager 2091 Wireless ADSL router on my pc and a
BT Voyager 1065 Wireless Laptop Adaptor on my laptop. Both work ok when
connecting to braodband internet, but I cannot after lots of trying and
reading previous threads on this site use them to connect my pc and laptop
into a network for file and print sharing (enabled on both) .
I get a repeated message that I may not have authority to acess this network
after setting up in almost all of the 6 combinations of type of connection in
the XP network wizard.
I am logged on as administrator and I do log in to both pc and laptop with
a password.

Can anyone advise where I can see a step by step configuration of a network
for these particular components ( BT Voyager support say as the broadband
connection is Ok it's a Microsoft problem not theirs, despite selling the
things with a go wireless broadband and also enjoy print and file sharing!)
