I have 2 DC's one 2k3 the other 2k. I can't seem to get the 2k dc to
replicate to the 2k3 server. I am getting eventid 13508 on the 2k3 server.
DNS seem to be working correctly. FRS is running on both dc's and AD seems
to be replicating. Both dc's can see one another with correct resolution. I
have tired restoring AD with a non-authoritative restore. Could it possibly
be a permissions issue? thanks in advanced.

Hello CN,

I think you are having replication issues on your network. I will start by
troubleshooting AD replication. Are the two servers in the same domain? Did
you try to restart dfs and ntfrs service on both servers?

Sorry about the subject. You are correct. The two servers are on the same
network. One is 2000 and the other 2003 standard. I have restared dfs and
ntfrs on bother servers.

Hellow cn,
Have replication ever taken place and then now stoppeed? or this is the
first time you setup the dfs. Is your w2003 do you have R2? or just regular
dfs. Just wanting to make sure you are not using different versions. Also if
you can also give us a general sense of how your dfs env is setup that will
help to troubleshoot your prob

Here is the setup: DC's have been in environment for years. 2k3 DC used to
be 2000 and was upgraded. 2k DC was going to be updated, but app on it has
prevented that from happening.

DC1: 2k3 std SP2, DC, Exchange, DNS, DFS, GFI spam filter
DC2: 2k SP4, DC, SQL 2000, DNS (pointed to DC1 during troubleshooting process)

2k3 DC:
No DS event logs. No DNS event logs, once in awhile eventid 2013 in system
log. No related App logs.

2k DC:
Netlogon events showup eventid 5719
FRS eventid 13568
No DNS errors
No DS errors
No app errors

Client started running into issue week or so ago. If you remote to 2k DC,
after a minute or so, server will bluescreen and reboot. Can work directly
on console.
