BUG: email notifications appear even when turned off

This is really annoying. In WL Messenger, I have the email notifications
turned OFF. However, while WL Mail is running, the email notifications still
appear. There are no options in WL Mail to turn off the email notifications
and WL Messenger's option to turn off email notifications does not work.

PLEASE FIX THIS

Greetings Adam,

If you just use Live Mail for e-mail, you can stop this from happening by not signing into
Live Mail using your Live ID. Just go into Live Mail, press the Alt key on the keyboard to
bring up the menu bar, choose the Tools menu, and then Options. Choose the Connection tab,
and then Stop signing in. Then confirm the operation.

Now Messenger won't display the alerts, but it will still internally notify Live Mail when
you receive an e-mail and automatically do the send/receive/sync as you'd expect. The only
real problem with this workaround is that you'll have to manually sign in to Live Mail to get
at your contacts/calendar.

Thanks! That seems like a decent work around. I just have to import my
contacts from a CSV file instead of using the Windows Live Contacts now I
guess. Hopefully future versions will fix that.

Hi Adam,

To be honest I think it's a lame workaround, but I suppose it works. I've made note of this
for future reference.
