this is my first post on a newsgroups so please be fair

i have a problem logging into Windows Live Messenger
when i log in it keeps coming up with

"The procedure entry point CredParseUserNameWithType could not be located in
the dynamic link library Secur32.dll"

i think this is a bug but it could be a fault, if needed i can provide
screenshots

thanks for reading and i hope there can be a way to sort this out.

What version of Windows Live Messenger are you using?

Have you tried the latest beta release of Windows Live Messenger to see if
the same thing happens?

You can get information (including a download link to the) latest beta
release of Windows Live Messenger (8.1.0106) here
