How can I burn a DVD using Vista because all the burners you buy have free
software for XP but not Vista.

If it's a recent version it will work with Vista.

My DVD burner is as old as Vista which is about 15 months and I have not
seen any DVD burners which come with Vista software which will burn on
Vista. If you have let me know.

Again, any recent version of the major Windows CD software will work. Nero
works, NTI works, Roxio works. I have NTI 7 which came with this machine,
and works fine with Vista.

Hi Richard,

Vista has built-in DVD burning software. Click on Help & Support, search on
"burn DVD" for instructions.

If you want to use third party software, which is often more configurable,
then contact the distributor of the software that came with your burner for
an updated version to the supplied program.

There are also lots of free utilities for doing things like creating disks
from .iso images, a quick search on google or your preferred search engine
can find them.
