Burning Cd

I'm trying to burn my music onto my cd-rw, it goes through the whole burning
process with the closing disc and everything, but here's the problem, my cd
is still empty, nothing was recorded on it even though it took almost all day
to burn the music to the cd, I changed the speed, what is wrong and what do I
do to fix it, can't keep wasting cd's on this.
