i inserted a cd and it tells me the time i have left on the disc but as i put
songs into the burn list the time doesnt go down. and it would let me start
burn even if its just one song on the list....

What's the file type of the songs you are trying to burn (MP3, WMA...)?
Does WMP show the length of these songs in the library?
