Q. Is this going to give me problems in a Win2k domain?
A. No. Both Vista Business & Ultimate will join a domain.
Q. So with all Media Center capabilities of Ultimate, will I have problems with it?
A. No. Windows Media Center has nothing to do with joining a domain network.
Please note that the Windows XP Media Center O/S was not designed to join a domain.
Q. What about the BitLocker Drive Encryption?
A. Please review the following:

As much as I hate it, a Vista laptop will be infiltrating my network within
the week.
The user bought a Toshiba M300 that came with the Home Basic version, that
the idiots at Office Depot said 'sure, all your programs will run on it'.
After going round & round, trying to get her to order a Dell or at least
order one with XP Pro from Toshiba's website, she decided to go with this &
get the Business upgrade.
She agreed to upgrading the software that wouldn't run under Vista.
I told her to go back to Office Depot & get the Vista Business upgrade & she
let them talk her into Vista Ultimate.
Is this going to give me problems in a Win2k domain?
I had heard that XP Media edition had problems in a domain, so with all
Media Center capabilities of Ultimate, will I have problems with it?
She plans to use it both at work & home for company business.
What about the BitLocker Drive Encryption?
Should the computer become un-bootable, would I be able to put the HD in
another computer & get data off of it?
What if it crashed & had to be sent to a data recovery company?
I have also learned the hard way to NOT use the upgrade option, but to let
Vista Business wipe everything out & install from scratch!
