"Busy" status during Vista screensaver

I just came back to my computer to find the screensaver active. I moved the
mouse and brielfy noticed my status changing on Windows Live Messenger. But
here's the thing - it was changing from Busy.

I don't think Messenger should treat the screensaver as a "full screen
application", and therefore incorrectly report my status as busy - that's
just silly.

Is this a bug or something up with my system?

Generally, screensavers can be shown as "busy" by WLM. I'm not sure what
mine shows when I'm gone and my screensaver kicks in, but I do have WLM set
to show me away after 10 minutes of idle time, which I believe is the
default. Perhaps your screensaver kicks in prior to the 10 minute default
for WLM showing you as away and instead will show you as busy until the
delta time is erased.

After some brief experimentation using my wife's computer (in the other
room), I'm shown as "away" when my screensaver kicks in prior to the 10
minute WLM idle timeout. FYI use Webshots as my screensaver.

Greetings,

Yes, this is the typical behavior I'm afraid if you've not gone idle.

You'll also become busy when you use Flip3D (Win-Tab).
