But there is no disk!!

This morning my scheduled Windows Update was running when it stopped and this
message appeared: "The feature you are trying to use is on a CD-ROM or other
removable disk that is not available. Insert the "Update Manager" disk and
click O.K."

But I have no such disk, and I believe one does not exist. All my
scheduling and updating programs have come to me via downloads (or they were
already on the machine when I purchased it in 2002). When I try to continue
the updating another message appears: "Try to find the installation package
ISUS.msi in a folder from which you can install the product Update Manager."
But, again, after a couple of thorough searches I can say that this ISUS.msi
installation package does not exist on my computer. I don't know what to do
now. Any good suggestions?

Hello, we have also the same problem, I can't Turn Off my Computer.. .To delete it TEMPORARY, you must go to your Task Manager and click the Update Manager above and click "End Task".. .That's all

NOTE: It's TEMPORARY..!!

In your case, it's permanent 'cause there is no 'Update Manager' that is
a component of *any* current Windows OS.

Maybe things were different in 2007, which is the date of the post the
Hooplehead Eggheader is replying to and changing the subject line.
