Hi,

I have a server running Windows Server 2003 Enterprise SP2 which is
dangerously low on C drive diskspace. Server has two mirrored drives. The
drive has 2 partitions a C and a D. I am running low on the C with plenty of
space on D partition. Is there a command I can use to basically take from
the D partition and give to the C partition without any reformatting?????

No not really.

Consider moving the page file to the D drive, this will require a reboot.
Consider deleting all the hidden update files on the root of the windows
directory.

Search Microsoft for NTFS +junction.

This technique allows you to move any file tree from C:\ to D:\, replacing
it with some sort of re-direction stub.
Files are still accessible via C:\... but the space they consume comes out
of D-partition.

We moved all our Windows and IE update folders, liberating several Gbyte for
2 minutes at the keyboard - after reading the documentation and downloading
junction.exe

You could try the server edition of Paragon Partition Manager. That will
re-order/re-size/re-arrange disk partitions.

As making a bigger C: drive is a painful process do think about how big you need
it. I usually like a dedicated mirrored disk for the system/boot partition and
mostly these days I use a 70GB disk. In my opinion less than 30GB runs the risk
of needing too play about with the partition size in the not too distant future.
Disk space is cheep so consider adding a new drive as the C: drive and releasing
the old drive.

There are 10 types of people, those that understand binary and those that don't.
