I'm running Vista and this morning when I switched on my computer it wouldn't start - came up with the system startup auto-recovery page, asked me if I wanted it to try to self-repair, to which I clicked yes, and got the message that C:\\$Extend\$RmMetadata\$Txf is corrupt and unreadable and that I should run Chkdsk utility. At this point my only option was a shutdown and when I switched it back on it ran Chkdsk which basically said there was nothing wrong but that it had had to move something. Now all I get after the blue screen is a perfectly black screen where I can see my pointer but cannot do anything.
Please help
Jo
