How do you stop windows premium home edition running a CHKDSK scan every time
that you start your computer?

You might find an 'autocheck' entry (value) that can be deleted at:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Session
Manager\BootExecute

Hi Ray,

Doing only the Step One section to Reset Chkdsk in this tutorial below
will stop it from running at startup all of the time.
