On XP, if I visit, say, www.ebaumsworld.com and watch one of the
videos/animations there I used to be able to retrieve it from
somewhere like Documents And Settings/MyUserName/Local Settings/
Temporary Internet Files.

Where is the Vista equivalent?

Thanks for that.

However..................

There are no files visible? But right clicking on the TIF folder says
413 files, 56 folders, size 8.62mb?

I have Vista set up to show hidden files/folders so why can't I see
anything?

Not sure if it will work with that particular site, but the Orbit download
manager has a feature that can save streamed video from some sites.

You may have to turn off the Protected mode in IE7 before the cache will be
available. Go to Internet security settings and lower it, just for your
visit to the site in question. View the video, and nab it out of the cache.
Don't forget to reset your security level when done.

I think in Protected mode, files that could harm your computer, like wmv and
flash, are not cached, or, are deleted immediately after use.

This method works for me. YMMV.

If Vista is anything like XP, the files are in a super-hidden folder
called Content.ie5 - just add \content.ie5 to the end of the TIF path
and you may have luck
