I have an Exchange 2003 SP2 environment. More and more users report that
calendar items are not synced to their mobile device, when the calendar
appointment was made in Outlook 2003. When i put it in Outlook Web Access of
the same user it will be synced to the device. The device reports no error.
On the device's Active Sync screen the new appointment will be counted but
will NOT be processed.

Outlook 2003 is NOT in cached mode.

I will do some more examination like turning on IIS logging on the Default
Website, will run ExBPA, and will try repairing the OST file of Outlook.
But when i run the users Outlook on another pc the same problem remains, so
i don't expect much of OST repair.

I already tried other things like recreating the user and import calender
items again, run scanpst.exe, tested with another mobile device and maybe
some other things i forgot.

Does ANYONE have the definitive solution ?? If it's better to post to
another community please let me know.

Hi,
Are these appointments reoccuring? If so then check and see if they have
end dates. Appointments without end dates do not sync. Other possible
causes include attachments embedded in the appointment that would make the
appointment larger than 16k or cannot be converted.

Did you try creating another appointment folder, moving the appointments
there, synchronize and then move them back on at a time until you find the
one causing the problem?

ActiveSync wil stop synchronizing once it finds ONE problem. Plus it does
not tell you which item is causing the problem.
