Calendar problem switching folders

Just started using Windows Live Mail Version 2009 Build 14.0.8117.0416

OS is Windows 7 Home Premium 32bit fully updated

In Live Mail when I click on "Calendar" I get a message window:-

There was a problem switching folders, possibly
because the folder was busy. Please wait a moment
and try again.

But waiting and trying again does nothing.

I have deleted the Calendars folder in my Store folder and let Live
Mail recreate it but still a problem

I can't seem to find any help Googling.

I would be grateful for any suggestions.

Using a Live ID ?

Calendar problems, especially when having deleted the folder without
subsequent resolution are best addressed in the Windows Live Solution
Center
- windowslivehelp.com
- http://windowslivehelp.com/product.aspx?productid=15

Ensure you inform them whether or not your calendar is Live ID
based(signing of with a Live ID) or non Live ID bases(no signon to Windows
Live in WLM)....if not specified, they usually assume the former.

G'Day again Winston

I went to the site you mentioned and, before posting a question, did a
search for my problem and found the answer!

For anyone else looking for a solution, here it is:-

Close Windows Live Mail

Start up regedit, and look for this key in the left pane:-

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows Live Mail

In the right pane look for the DWord:-

Calendar UI View State

and delete it.

Close regedit and restart Windows Live Mail

Now Calendar works OK!

thanks again

Wtg Stubbo of Oz !!

Glad you found a solution.

You're welcome and thanks for reporting the resolution.

For those reading along..here it is (see Windows Live Maybelle C.'s
response)
http://windowslivehelp.com/thread.as...f-c163925c222f

I guess I should have warned you that a few of the responses posted by
users(not Live ID support) take a more brutal and approach to resolution
which may work but imo some user recommendations(uninstall, create new
profiles, delete folders etc) are completely unnecessary. Glad to see you
managed to wade through the labyrinth for simpler solution!
