I'm currently running Windows Vista Home Premium. When I purchased the
computer I noticed that Windows MovieMaker was now capable of capturing HD
video, which inspired me to purchase a new HD camcorder. The model I have is
a Canon HV 20. When I plug the camcorder to the computer the operating system
doesn't recognize the device is even connected and as a result I can't
capture my video. XP never had this problem as it recognized nearly
everything I connected to it. Is there a solution or driver to this problem
on the horizon?
