I have a USB CameraMate from ZIO.

Pity party time! For buying something like this. Zio was sold to X, which
was sold to Y, and NOBODY seems to want to support this thing.

It worked OK with Win2K, but my new machine is Vista Home Premium.

I can get the drivers to install, and the software even sorta works.

I can trap video, but I can't use sound. I have to use the only board
RealTek sound. (It's an HP mini-tower with Core2Duo) If I try to turn
on the CameraMate sound input, it's a blue screen of death. Ok, so
just run an extra patch cable to the computer sound in. Works OK, but
I get an 'echo' from the mixer. Seems what comes in ALWAYS comes
in. I can't stop the echo.

But I tried to make a DVD anyway with the CameraMate software. No
go. It just keeps telling me there's something already on the DVD and
won't write to it.

I think I'm gonna pull the thing out and try a Dazzle. Even though I
thought they were the same, just a different marketing agent, I'm
hoping the Dazzle is the one they decided to support!

Mike
