I'm running Vista Ultimate.
I can't get windows update to work! I also can't get windows defender to
work either. All that happens is they both supposedly start checking for
updates and the bar just scrolls and scrolls never reaching any updates to
download. I normally would finish in about a few minutes. I restored my
machine back to before the last update that successfuly installed (6/20/07)
and I still have the problem.
Can anyone suggest what I should do to fix this problem as I don't want to
miss any critical updates?
I was going to reinstall Vista Ultimate as a last resort, but when I even
did that, and it asked if I wanted to search for updates before starting the
process, it just continued to search never ending too!
Please help!
