How can I delete folder "windows.old"

After lengthy discussions with Microsoft techs it was decided they could not
solve my problem (wonder of wonders) and I had to reinstall my Vista Home
Premium. I did the reinstall over the prior Vista install, and therefore I
ended up with a "windows.old" folder. Once I moved everything out of it I
needed, I wanted to delete the folder as it takes up a sizable chunk of the
HD. However, using the delete function in windows explorer does not delete
the folder or contents. Can someone suggest a way to delete the folder and
contents?

Thanks for any help.

Jer

Hello Jer

You can use Disk Cleanup to remove this by selecting the "File
discarded by Windows upgrade" option

Hope this helps
