Can I download critical updates to a folder??

From time to time I use Norton 9.0 to restore XP Home. Each time I have to
download critical updates again. Is there a way to download these updates to
a folder so they can be copied for future use? Or are these updates left on
my computer somewhere that I can copy?

You could d/load the critical updates from the Microsoft Download Center:
