Can fingerprint signon be tied in?

Has anyone seen any good devices to signon using a fingerprint device tied to
a global people database so you know exactly who you are dealing with when
you get an Instant Messager invite? If so, what it the URL of the
fingerprint signon device and the url of the global people database?

That would indeed be tied in to windows authentication on the local machine.
