can install update need help

Hi. windows update keeps trying to install Security Update for Microsoft
..NET Framework, Version 2.0 (KB922770).
It says installed when finished, but then in the main update infor
says couldn't install update.
I dont really know what the update is but Im freaking out cause the
installer keeps poping up and askes to install the same update after
it has failed to install.
Its in a "update install loop"
if anyone can help I'd be a happy chap.

Wish I could help but I'm suffering from this pestilential loopy update too!
Exactly the same symptoms. Is there anyone out there who can help us,please?
I don't want to turn off my auto update in case I miss something essential

Didn't for me. Only a 'full' uninstall followed by install allowed me to
install the update.

Thanks, Edwin. I have just uninstalled the programme and reinstalled it and
the appropriate updates including the loopy KB922770. They all appear to have
been successfully installed according to the Add/Remove programs list and I
shall now have to wait and see if they stick. Hopefully I shan't have to
tackle this problem again. Regards, PaulB.
