How can I make my own threads in Vista without C/SDK?

I'm trying to figure out if I want a faster computer, besides the Gateway P4
1.8GHz w/Win2k I have, for scientific research in my SSDI Ticket to Work
Program. Most come with Vista. I see nothing on your web site that would
give me a clue as to whether or not I can generate threaded code for
multi-core processors with my old 32-bit Fortran compiler, much less how to
do it. Possibly with inline machine code accessing the thread routines? Any
resources for that? Sorry, don't program in C.
Best Regards,
