Can Messenger fire up a non-IE browser to check mail?

Any way to make MSN Messenger 8.1 load a non-IE browser to view emails when
clicking on the envelope icon up top? Even with another browser set as my
default, Messenger keeps reverting to IE to fetch mail.

It uses Internet Explorer as it's the only sure way to securely send your username and
password to a browser window.

However, using a third-party tool called StuffPlug, it will redirect this to FireFox if you'd
like (www.stuffplug.com).
