Can I move OEM software to another PC?

I have 2 PC's, a laptop and a desktopPC . The laptop came with XP pro &
Office 2003 pre-loaded.
My (Dell) desktop came with Microsoft works.

I find that I use the laptop for more casual applications and amusement, and
the desktop for more formal/professional use.

Two questions are:
1. May I legally copy XP pro & Office 2003 onto my desktop PC?
2. If not, may I transfer Office 2003 from the laptop to the desktop PC?

Greetings,

From a legal standpoint, I'm afraid not. The OEM gets a special discount rate and the
license covers only that laptop.

Ugh, licensing training; only thing good is the goodies at the end.
