can not back up itunes or recovry disks

i ve tried a veriety of cd, cd.r dvd, dvd r dvd/r/w/ i have checked and
tried to
enable d.m.a. on the dvd burner and the option to select dma is not even
there.
i can find no solution

please help os is vista 64 bit home premium

Wuld love to help but need more detials. Did you use the built in Vista Back
Up Utility or third party application?

When doing backups try using an external hard drive, its easier, faster, and
cheaper.

If it is not in a Manual that came with the computer, check at the
Manufacturer's website, or phone them, on how to make Recovery DVD.
