Can not delete mail from my inbox.

I have outlook Express 6 and all of a sudden I can not delete mail from my inbox. I get an "Can not delete mail" message. However even though the mail stays in my inbox, it also shows uop in my deleted mail box.

One would think that the Outlook Express newsgroup would be
the appropriate newsgroup to post to involving issues with Outlook
Express.
