I actually don't remember ever downloading the specific Chinese language
support file, but it worked fine until yesterday.
All of a sudden, my IE just stop displaying simplified chinese and japanese.
I can no longer read anything on all of the simplifed or japanese sites I go
to. That is except yahoo Japan, which somehow works fine.
Furthermore, the english text display on the internet forums I go to is now
acting strangely. All the fonts are different sizes to what it was before,
some appear to be in a different font style too.
I thought I could solve the problem by downloading the relevant support
files from windows updates again, but after scanning, I can not find the
support for Japanese in the list of options. Simplified Chinese support was
an option, but it just won't install, everytime I tried to download it, the
bar will start out slow then shoot to 100%, then a reply appears telling me
that "no update was installed, please go to scan for updates and download
again".
What can I do to solve the problem? What is causing the problem? Any help is
appreciated.
