Can not hear my contact

Both myself and a friend have downloaded Live Messenger to use with Logitech
STX cameras. We can both see each other, and my friend can hear me, but I
cannot hear them. We have checked the Camera mic, and they are able to
record video and sound, and play back. Are there options within Live
Messenger to re-set the audio and mic levels. Any information would be
greatly appreciated.

I have the same problem and have been unable to find the answer. If I start
a voice conversation, I can then invite the other party to a video
conversation (click the small icon under your picture) and everything works
correctly.
