I can not install this update. It tries to install and appears to do so
successfully, but then it keeps appearing in the list of items to install.

I looked up the KB article.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/937061

A known issue was;
To install this security update, you must have Microsoft Windows Installer
3.1 installed on your computer. To obtain the latest Windows Installer for
your computer, visit the following Microsoft Web site:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...8-de776fd4138c
(http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...8-de776fd4138c)

I went to the link, installed the 2.5 meg installer for windows installer
3.1 and when i try to install it i get "Not enough storage space is
available to process this command."

Yeah right. Unless this installer requires more than 1.3gb of available ram
at the time of install, and more than 200gb of disk space, then i suspect
the problem lies with microsoft.

Same problem.
Windows update seems installing it, but when it says installation completed,
the yellow shield come out again and notifies for that update again, again
and again.
I installed it for 3 times but never able to rid of that.
Any solution?
Thanks

Same problem here. I have installed it now 3 times, rebooted many
times and the problem continues.

Same problem here.
Is that tied to Windows Vista? Which version of Windows do you have?

I have the same problem. I even downloaded the update and installed manually
wiht a sucessfull result and windows update still thinks it hasn't been
installed.

I was wondering if it had anything to do with old VS 2002 and 2003 versions
being installed.

I've win xp sp2 and vs 2005 professional.
The installation seems to work fine, but if you look in your pc for a log
about that KB, there's noone, so even if windows update says installation
complete, nothing has been installed, and it alterts you about that update
again.
I solved hiding it right now, waiting for a solution...
When a real working update will be released, i will unhide it and try to
reinstall. That's the only solution if you don't want that yellow shield
always on.
Bye

Same problem on XP and Vista here. The update is intended to correct an
issue in Crystal Reports. It does not recognize that on some installations
(like mine) Crystal Reports was deselected during install.
