I am running Vista Home Premium and can not run any MS Offfice 2007 programs
that are pined to the start menu. When you left click on them they react like
the program is going to run but do not start the program. The programs run
fine from the All Programs and Quick Launch menus.

Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Right-click the pinned icon, and choose remove from this list. Then go
re-pin them. This should link them correctly to the GUID of the program
(because Office doesn't behave like a shortcut normally does, it doesn't have
a "target" file location).

I tried this with several of the Offie programs, but they will not work.

This problem suddenly today occurs on my Vista. On November 25 all works
good. No one M$ Office 2007 shortcut in Recent programs list does not
work. They work in quicklaunch fine.

I have additionally had a problem with not being able to remove a program
from my PC and finally downloaded a program called jv16 Power Tools which
among other capabilities is a Registry Cleaner. It is a Free Trial progam
with full working capability for 30 days and a purchase price of $29.95.
Anyhow I ran it and it cleared this Office 2007 glitch and removed the
reticent program too. I have purchased the software which allows for usage on
up to 5 computers.

Once again: it is possible to pin shortcuts to start menu directly from
executives (example: winword.exe) in programs folder, where Office is
instaled, and they works!

I have the same issues. It is only Office 2007 applications. Other apps
like MS Money work fine.
