I have had Windows Live Messenger since it was in Beta stages, and have yet
to have this problem until today. When I send a message to my friends, they
can see the proper font and color, yet in my window it shows up only in
default and Times New Roman, I thought I might be able to get around this by
using the Handwriting button, only to discover that even though that option
is turned on in my preferences I do not have a button to be able to access
this option. I have recently installed Smiley Central and am wondering if
that could be the cause of the problem.
This is a screencap of my messenger: Promise Yourself a smile today is me,
and I am supposed to have purple lettering in a Verdana font, but as you can
see it's showing up default black and in Times new Roman. I thought this
might help explain what I'm talking about. Also notice there is no button for
the handwriting option.
