Can not start Cryptographic Services

Hi
I have the following problem:
Windows update does not install any updates at all. After I installed SP2 it
has stopped working. It downloads the updates but the updates fail.
I tried to uninstall SP2 and finally it disappereared from the add Remove
program in Contyrolpanel.When I try to reinstall SP2 I get a message saying
that Cryptographic Services is not running: When I try to start Cryptographic
Services I get a message saying Error 126
The specified module could not be found.
I have tried the bat file, and I have tried a lot og regsvr files, but still
I have the same problem, and the computer is very slow now...
Does anyone have a solution on this? I have searched this site several
times, but still haven't found a solution.

If the RPC Service is disabled, you may need to use the Recovery Console.

Use your WinXP CD and boot to the Recovery Console:

1. Type the following command: Enable RPCSS Service_Auto_Start
2. Press the Enter key
3. Type: exit
4. Press Return
The computer will now restart.
