Each time I try to send emails recently I see that WLM tries to 'Connect' but
then seems to time out with the following message. It doesn't seem to make
any difference if it's a plain text email or one with attachments. Can anyone
help? The error message is as follows, though the codes keep changing.

Unable to send or receive messages for the Hotmail (xxxxxx) account. Windows
Live Mail can't connect to the Hotmail server. To send and receive messages
in your Hotmail account, go to http://hotmail.live.com on the Web, or try
again later.

Subject 'Re: photos'
Server Error: 5102
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x8DE00006

Did you try pressing F1? From Help:

<quote>
Error 5102: Unable to send or receive messages
Your e-mail account is probably being migrated to a new server. This doesn't effect your e-mail or contacts in any way, and you won't lose any data. Try again in a day or two. If the issue persists, contact Windows Live Mail Support.

can help you out in a better way if u be more specific about your emai
service provider, is it yahoo, gmail, aol, comcast ??

It completely depends upon the pop settings and server authenticatio
settings

plz revert back with your email service provider's name

You can either wait(since it may resolve itself if a server issue).
If that doesn't float your boat...
1.Windows Live Hotmail Support
Windows Live Solution Center for Hotmail
http://windowslivehelp.com/product.aspx?productid=1
Windows Live Hotmail Forums
http://windowslivehelp.com/forums.aspx?productid=1
Windows Live Hotmail Solutions
http://windowslivehelp.com/solutions.aspx?productid=1

2. Windows Live ID Support
Windows Live Solution Center for Windows Live ID
Windows Live ID Portal Home Page
http://windowslivehelp.com/product.aspx?productid=10
Windows Live ID Forums
http://windowslivehelp.com/forums.aspx?productid=10
Windows Live ID Solutions
http://windowslivehelp.com/solutions.aspx?productid=10

For 1 and/or 2...
If a solution is not available in the Forums/Solutions area then click 'Ask A Question'
- requires sign on with your Windows Live ID, registration, and creation of a username
- Live ID username is **Not** visible to the public
