I am selling a server I have, but the key that is installed is a 'open
license' that I do not want to transfer. I want the purchaser to buy their
own windows server key.

Is there a way to remove my key?

Or at least install their new key - so I know they are not using mine?

Hello Rick
This is "open" so it's volume license right?
does the customer have a their own Volume License key?
This only works going from Volume license key to Volume license key

918342 How to change the Volume Licensing product key on a Windows XP-based
or a Windows Server 2003-based computer
http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;EN-US;918342
You cannot use this to change to Retail or OEM license keys

Thanks,
