Hello Rick
This is "open" so it's volume license right?
does the customer have a their own Volume License key?
This only works going from Volume license key to Volume license key
918342 How to change the Volume Licensing product key on a Windows XP-based
or a Windows Server 2003-based computer

You cannot use this to change to Retail or OEM license keys
Thanks,
