The new server has a different ip and hostname (has IIS 6 and SQL 2005) and
we want to replace an active webserver published actually in Internet, so to
avoid to refresh DNS around Internet, is possible to reuse the actual
hostname and ip from the actual server to the new?

Hello RISA,

Better post this to:
microsoft.public.inetserver.iis
microsoft.public.inetserver.misc
