How can I search for other members?

I get a lot of requests from strangers wanting to add me to their contact list.
How do they find and see me online?
Is there a members currently online directory?
Is there a members offline directory?

Nope, the member directory has long set to rest for over a year now. Plus, you had to
opt-in.

Might be worth doing a web search on your Windows Live ID and see what comes up?
