It is not letting me sign in to my messenger from work or any other computer
other than my home computer. an error message comes out saying "Sorry, this
Kids Passport account does not have permission to use windows Messenger".
What does that mean! I am able to log in sometimes but now it says that.

Greetings,

Due to how the kid Windows Live ID restrictions work, you'll probably want to contact Windows
Live ID services to get this sorted out. You can do so at the following link:
https://support.live.com/default.aspx?productkey=wlid

To get to the form choose any option from the FAQ on the left, then choose 'Get more help' at
the bottom right, and then 'Get more support'.

Hi Jonathan Kay,

Actually I have already done the steps you suggested below, but the Windows
Live Technical Support replied me that they are unable to solve the problem.

After that, the Microsoft Customer Service Representative suggested me that
I should post my question here.

Please advise Need Help!! and I another better solution as soon as possible.

Thank you very much.

My problem has not been solved! I have contacted support but apparently they
have no idea on how to solve this problem because they just keep on
forwarding my problem to different representatives and NONE of them have
actually helped me. That is why I am hoping that someone here can help me! If
you figure out the solution please let me know!! I would really appreciate
it. Thank You!

Hey Jonathan,

I have also done the steps you said but just like Choychai they were unable
to solve my problem and told me to post my question here. If you know of any
other solution that can help us please let us know. Thank You.

Oh, I see. Yeah, what you said is absolutely right!

They are still unable to solve the problem and I still keep asking / posting
my questions on the webs.

Have you seen the URL I gave below?

Did you install any versions of Windows Live Messenger in your PC / laptop?

If yes, do you think this problem can be solved if we uninstall the Windows
Live Messenger from our PCs / laptops?

Anyway, I am waiting for Jonathan Kay's reply.

Thanks.

Hi Choychai,

Yes, I was just reading the post ... but I guess none of them give us the
solution..lol...
This is so wierd because I am able to sign in from my home computer but not
from my work computer or my laptop which is wierd because I always was able
to sign in in any computer including those.
At home I am using the Version 2008 (Build 8.5.1302.1018), and the
messenger at my work computer and laptop are both Version 4.7 (4.7.3001)
which is the version that comes in all computers. So I don't know what is
going on. I truly don't think that uninstalling messenger will help.

Hi,

Yeah, I quite agree that there is nobody can give us the solution yet.

I just can sign in to Windows Live Messenger with my account for now, but I
am still unable to sign in to Windows Messenger.

I think there must be some settings on the web when we signed in to check
our e-mails, right?

Anyway, thanks for your prompt reply.

If I have the solution, I will let you know here.
