How can I take off pieces of SP2 ?

I have pieces of SP2 left on my computer after recovering my computer from a
catastrophic experience. I would like to get them off since they are
beginning to start up the crashes again. I'm scared to download it again.
There is no uninstall listed for it anyway. I did a repair install from my
original CD but there are still pieces of Sp2 left. That is because I tried a
slipstreamed version install but the registry had become corrupt and would
not let it access it. So that installation failed. Also, I had several
unsuccessful installations prior to the original crash and I was unable to
uninstall it then either. I had to create a special bootable CD in order to
get in and partially fix the registry in order to do the last repair
installation. I don't want to have to go through all that again.

There are SP2 icons in the control panel, I don't know if that is making
explorer crash or not. I had about 21 updates to download after I
reinstalled, so maybe one or two of them are a problem. If you know exactly,
please tell me.

Thank you and have a good day/night.
